Male Stomach Fat Freezing Results: His Abdomen 18 Months Later

Male stomach fat freezing before and after results 18 months after abdominal cryolipolysis treatment at My Temple Melbourne

Can fat freezing results last? This male client came back to My Temple 18 months after treating his abdomen - and his long-term results tell a pretty interesting story.

When this gentleman first came to My Temple, he wasn't pretending he was about to completely overhaul his lifestyle.

He had a busy, high-pressure career. Long working days often meant corporate dinners, late-night meals, snacking, more alcohol than he probably needed—and despite knowing that exercise would be good for him, getting to the gym simply wasn't happening.

Sound familiar?

He was particularly unhappy with the fat he was carrying around his stomach and wanted to know whether fat freezing could reduce the size and shape of his abdomen without surgery.

Why He Chose Fat Freezing for His Stomach

For many men, the abdomen is one of those frustrating areas where excess subcutaneous fat can accumulate.

Of course, improving nutrition, reducing alcohol intake and becoming more active are important for overall health and weight management. But our client wasn't coming to us asking for a lecture about what he should be doing.

He wanted to know what we could realistically do about the pinchable layer of fat sitting over his abdomen.

After assessing him, we determined that he had suitable subcutaneous abdominal fat for cryolipolysis, commonly known as fat freezing.

We developed a treatment plan specifically around his stomach and the result he wanted to achieve.

His Fat Freezing Results — 18 Months Later

The photograph above shows his abdomen before treatment in January 2024 and again in May 2026.

What we love about this comparison isn't simply the visible reduction in his abdominal fat.

It's the length of time between the photographs.

This isn't a photograph taken immediately after treatment. It isn't even his standard follow-up several months later.

We photographed him again more than 18 months after completing his abdominal fat freezing treatment.

And you can still clearly see the change in the contour of his stomach.

His abdomen appears flatter, his waist and sides are more defined, and the heavy, rounded appearance through his midsection has been noticeably reduced.

For him, seeing the photographs side-by-side was particularly satisfying.

Like many clients, when you see your own body every single day, gradual changes can be surprisingly difficult to recognise. Looking back at where he started gave him the opportunity to properly appreciate just how much his abdominal shape had changed.

And yes—he was pretty happy with what he saw.

Are Fat Freezing Results Permanent?

This is one of the most common questions we are asked.

Fat freezing works by cooling targeted subcutaneous fat cells to temperatures that cause some of those cells to be damaged and subsequently cleared by the body.

Those destroyed fat cells don't simply grow back.

However, fat freezing isn't a free pass to eat and drink whatever you like forever. The fat cells that remain in your body can still increase in size if you gain weight.

That's why we describe fat freezing as permanent fat cell reduction in the treated area, rather than promising that someone's body can never change again.

This gentleman's 18-month result is a great example of why we love seeing clients well beyond their initial follow-up.

Fat Freezing Isn't About Being Perfect

There's another reason we wanted to share his story.

Not everybody who comes to us is suddenly going to become a five-days-a-week gym person.

And that's okay.

Some people are already exercising and eating well but have a stubborn pocket of fat they can't shift. Others know their lifestyle isn't perfect and simply want to make a change to an area of their body that has bothered them for years.

Our job isn't to judge either person.

It's to assess what is actually causing the shape they're concerned about, determine whether fat freezing is appropriate, and explain honestly what sort of result they can reasonably expect.

Sometimes we recommend treatment.

Sometimes we recommend a larger treatment plan than the client initially expected.

And sometimes we tell someone that fat freezing isn't going to give them the result they're looking for at all.

The consultation matters because not every stomach is the same and not every belly is suitable for fat freezing.

And He's Not Finished Yet…

After seeing the long-term change in his abdomen, our client decided there was another area he'd like us to look at.

His chest.

We've now started working with him on that area and, with his permission, we'll share his progress and results when the time is right.

For us, that's one of the nicest outcomes of treatment—not simply seeing a physical change, but seeing someone look at their before-and-after photographs and feel genuinely pleased that they finally did something about an area that had been bothering them.

Could Fat Freezing Work on Your Stomach?

If you're considering stomach fat freezing in Melbourne, the first question isn't “How much does it cost?”

It's:

“Am I actually suitable for it, and how much treatment would I need to see a worthwhile change?”

At My Temple, we assess your body, the amount and location of your subcutaneous fat, your desired outcome and the number of treatment areas likely to be required before recommending a treatment plan.

Because spending less on a treatment that isn't capable of producing the change you want isn't necessarily saving money.

Book a fat freezing consultation with My Temple in Melbourne and let us assess what may be realistically achievable for your body.
